I’ve had so many requests to share how I’m memorizing my bible verses so here is a written out explanation.  I found this method from Brother_Miller on TikTok.  He is not the originator of this method, he’s just the one I saw explain it.  Now, I don’t know if I’m doing exactly like he says to.  But this is how I’ve understood it.

Supplies needed:
*Index card box
*Index cards
*Pen (I keep mine in the box so it’s always with me)
*Tabs

Directions:

1. Start by putting tabs on your index cards and label them.  You’ll label one “D” for daily.  You’ll label the days of the week, “S”, “M”, “T” and so on.  And then you’ll label 31 of them 1-31 for the days in a month.
2. Every day you will write a new scripture on an index card.  One side will say the scripture location:  Book, Chapter, Verse.  It will also have the DAY of the week and the DATE.  And then the other side will have the scripture written out. 
3. For one week, you will write your scriptures on index cards and stick them in the “D” slot.  Every day you will work on memorizing those.  Once the following Sunday arrives, they each move into the day of the week that is written on the individual cards.
4. You will continue memorizing those after they’re moved into the day of the week slot while you start memorizing brand new scriptures that are in your “D” slot.
5. Once you’ve reached the second Sunday which is one week since you moved the original cards into the day of the week spot, you will move those into the DATE on each individual card.  And you’ll move the cards from the “D” slot into the day of the week slots.
6. As you start to fill in your DATE slots, you will grab all the ones from the current date and you’ll review those.  So for instance if today is the 5^th, you’ll grab every card from the “5” slot.

So every day you are reviewing whatever is in the daily slot, whatever is in the day slot and whatever is in the date slot.  I personally review the daily slot, every day of the week slots and the date slot daily and then once a week I also review every date of the month slot just because I only have at max like 3 per date.

I hope that makes sense.  It’s really confusing sounding.  But once you start labeling and writing out your cards it becomes a lot clearer.  So, just get started.  You may not fully understand what I’m saying right away, but it should make sense as you get into it.

 You memorize the scriptures by repetition and by fully understanding the verse.  So make sure you’re doing a deep dive on these every time you pick one.
