For 2026 I noticed so many “rebranding” videos. New nails, new workout routine, new planners… And I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with it. But, it got me thinking. I’ve noticed, especially in 2025, as I’ve surrendered things to the Lord other things have fallen into place. And of course that’s the case. Because we know when we put God at the center, everything else will follow. We know His plan for our life is perfect. So why do we put so much emphasis on the external, rather than our relationship with Christ. In Proverbs it says, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” So, don’t stop planning. But make sure God is at the center. So in keeping that mentality, I prepared the January calendar. I’ll go through the days with you so there’s no confusion.
- Happy New Year!!!
- We need a calm, quiet, joyful space to read our bible so get your spot ready. Whether that’s a chair in the corner of your room or even your bed, get it clear.
- If you’re following a creator online that engages in fleshly desires like gossip, lust, etc. UNFOLLOW them! You need to guard your heart. You can’t lead a life of stewardship if you allow those things in.
- Rest. Do whatever refreshes your spirit.
- The “Chuck It Bucket” is a basket or bin or bucket you keep centralized in your home. As you move throughout your day and see something you aren’t using frequently, toss it in the bucket. When the bucket gets full, take it to the donation center.
- Self explanatory. Get rid of the extra shoes, coats, bags.
- Command center is where you keep mail, papers, appointment cards, receipts, keys, etc. Get it organized.
- Spend 10ish minutes praying with God. Ask Him for your home’s mission statement for 2026.
- Self explanatory.
- Again.
- Rest. Do whatever refreshes your spirit.
- Get the clutter OFF the counters.
- Clean under that sink.
- Tables are not storage. Get them clear.
- Self explanatory.
- Again.
- Again.
- Rest. Do whatever refreshes your spirit.
- Declutter your vanity.
- Declutter some of those linens.
- Clean under those beds.
- Make sure your surfaces are wiped down.
- If you’re watching or reading something that doesn’t refresh the spirit and produce good fruit, it needs to go.
- Clean the floors.
- Rest. Do whatever refreshes your spirit.
- Go through that stack of papers.
- Rest.
- Get the junk out of your car.
- Does the “Chuck It Bucket” need emptied?
- Reorganize that junk drawer.
- Pray over your home. Ask God to cover your home in safety and love and joy.
That’s it! Let’s turn over a new leaf in 2026 and let God lead us as was always His intention.
If you have any more questions, PLEASE let me know!

Thank you, Audrey! God recently placed on my heart the need to prioritize making my home into a sanctuary and how I steward the resources he provides. Then, you publish this calendar! I was floundering a bit, and this helps so much.

I have an article posted on the Chuck It Bucket under the Blog section of my website. I try to keep the tasks varied so each month we’re at least touching a wide range of areas in our home, if that makes sense.
