There’s one thing every parent needs to do before Christmas… declutter the old toys!!
This can be tough. Children don’t even care about toys until it’s time to give some away. So I’ve found the best way to go about decluttering these toys is to create a special mission from Santa.
“He” sends your children a letter and gift bag. The letter is attached below. It basically says that there are some kids who need a few more gifts, and he’s asking the children to put their old toys in the bag. He will come by and grab the bag and take the toys back to the North Pole. Then he will fix them up and send them to the children who still need some more gifts. He will leave your children new toys in that same bag the night before Christmas.
Here’s the bag I use:

Decluttering toys is an absolute must before Christmas arrives. You can either sneak the toys out yourself and risk a meltdown. Or you can use this method and allow your children to be a part of a special mission with Santa and experience the magic of gift-giving and receiving.
