I’m always getting asked things like, “I’m new to cleaning & organizing. Where do I start?”
So, finally it hit me. I need a “Tidy Home Starter Kit”! So, consider this the manual for the Starter Kit.
What’s included in the kit:
- The “How to Reset Your Home When You’re Feeling Overwhelmed” article.
- I actually recommend people start with this article. It gives you a foundation to build on and it helps guide you through the clutter in your home. You can find it here: https://organizedchaos4bus.com/2022/07/13/how-to-reset-your-home-when-youre-feeling-overwhelmed/
- The 6/10 List PDF
- This is my simplified cleaning schedule. Start by focusing on the Daily 6. Once you’ve gotten into the routine of doing them daily, you can add in the monthly and quarterly tasks. The article and PDF can be found here: https://organizedchaos4bus.com/2022/02/10/the-6-10-list/
- The “Basket Method” article
- This method is how I’m able to keep a tidy home throughout the week with our busy schedules. Basically, you need a basket to put items in throughout the week and then empty it on the weekend. It works wonders for our home. Here’s the article that goes into more detail: https://organizedchaos4bus.com/2022/11/29/the-basket-method/
Once you’ve gone through these items and have begun to master them, then you can use my other methods, PDF’s and advice to begin living more efficient lives in your tidy homes.
If you use the Starter Kit, let me know how it goes. I’m always so happy to hear the progress my followers make!

Where do you keep your basket during the week? Do you use those decorative wicker baskets in your Amazon store for this?

I do use those. Linked here: https://www.amazon.com/shop/organizedchaos4/list/173MEEN5HWG45?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d
I just keep them in my linen closet when they’re not in use.
